Some events are remembered because of what happens on stage. Others stay with people because of the feeling in the room, the conversations, the energy, the people, and the ideas that continue long after the event is over.
TEDxKI Stockholm was one of those events. A space built around lectures, creativity, networking, performance, and meaningful conversations about the questions shaping our world today. It brought together speakers, students, professionals, young voices and curious minds, all gathered with the same intention: to listen, connect and be inspired.
For Nguyen, being part of TEDxKI as Executive Producer meant standing close to the heart of the event. Behind every talk, every transition, every visual detail and every moment of connection, there was a structure that helped the day feel complete. It was not only about what the audience could see, but also about everything that happened before the doors opened.
More Than an Event
A TEDx event is not just a programme of speakers. It is an experience shaped by ideas, timing, people and atmosphere. From the first guest arriving to the final moment on stage, every part of the day contributes to how the event is remembered.
TEDxKI created a setting where people could engage with today’s questions in a thoughtful and inspiring way. The audience was full of young, curious and motivated people, individuals who came not only to listen, but to take part in a larger conversation.
This is what makes events like TEDxKI so meaningful to document. The story is not only found in the main talks, but also in the pauses between them. In the networking moments. In the reactions from the audience. In the performers, the volunteers, the speakers, and the people working quietly behind the scenes.
Nguyen’s Role as Executive Producer
As Executive Producer, Nguyen was part of shaping the event from behind the scenes. This kind of role requires more than organization. It requires vision, attention to detail, communication, leadership and the ability to understand how many small pieces come together to create one seamless experience.
Event production is often invisible when it is done well. The audience sees the stage, the speakers, the lights and the final result, but behind that there is planning, coordination, timing and creative direction.
For Nguyen, this role was about helping bring the event’s vision to life while making sure the atmosphere, structure and flow supported the people at the centre of it: the speakers, the audience and the team.
Where Event Production Meets Photography
For us, TEDxKI was especially meaningful because it connected two parts of our work: production and photography.
When you understand how an event is built, you photograph it differently. You notice the rhythm of the day. You understand which moments matter before they happen. You know when to step closer, when to stay back, and how to capture the atmosphere without interrupting it.
This is why event photography is not only about taking images. It is about reading the room.
At TEDxKI, the photography was shaped by the full experience, the speakers on stage, the audience listening, the networking between sessions, the creative performances, the branding details and the quiet moments that made the event feel human.
A Story Built Behind the Stage
TEDxKI was an inspiring event shaped by lectures, networking, young engagement and meaningful conversations. With voices such as Moa Ilar, Sam Hultin, Johanna Nissén, Sebastian Blomé, Pella Thiel, Cristopher Sparshott and Sara Hägg, the day became more than a programme of talks, it became a visual story of ideas, presence and connection.
But what happens on stage is only one part of the story. Behind every successful event, there are people making sure the experience feels smooth, thoughtful and alive. TEDxKI was a reminder of how much care goes into creating a space where ideas can be shared, where speakers feel supported, and where the audience can truly engage with the moment.
For Nguyen Photography, being connected to TEDxKI through both production and photography made the storytelling feel even more personal. We were not only capturing what happened. We understood the intention behind it — the planning, the atmosphere, the people, and the purpose that made the event meaningful before the first photo was ever taken.
If you are planning a conference, lecture, networking event, university event or corporate gathering in Stockholm, we would love to capture it with a modern, professional and story-driven approach.
